Customer and Supplier Interaction Policy

iSSD’s intention is to provide an online environment that is secure for all Customers and Suppliers. However, because the iSSD is not involved in the sale transaction between the Customer and the Supplier, we cannot be held accountable or take any responsibility for a sale and or transaction.

1. Supplier’s delivery of Goods and Services

iSSD expects Suppliers to deliver a consistently high level of Customer Satisfaction.

When a Supplier wins the right to produce a requirement, the Customer and Supplier enter a contract that both parties are expected to honour. A Supplier’s obligations are formal, such as delivering the item that was specified in the quotation and accepted Purchase Order, as well as informal, such as providing the good service.

Suppliers who do not fulfil their obligations may be in breach of their contract and can create an unsatisfactory Customer experience. Customer experience is reflected in Supplier’s feedback (including overall rating scores).

If a seller repeatedly creates unsatisfactory Customer experiences, they are at risk of breaching the User Agreement.

2. Role of the Supplier

Being an accredited Supplier on iSSD is done solely at the Supplier’s risk. Furthermore, any transactions or contact with other users of iSSD is conducted entirely at your risk.

Complying with the requirements listed below will significantly reduce the likelihood of Customer dissatisfaction, and subsequently will minimise the likelihood of any disputes arising. Furthermore, compliance will also ensure that the transaction is completed in a timely manner.

a) Responsibility for specifications quotes in Quote Requests on iSSD rest solely with the Supplier. The Supplier must ensure the specifications accurately represent the item they have quoted. False, misleading, or inaccurate descriptions will likely lead to Customer dissatisfaction, and subsequently delay completion of the transaction.

The Supplier must manufacture the goods as described and quoted and deliver as per the delivery details agreed.

d) While communicating with the Customer, the Supplier must not enter into behaviour that is deemed to be defamatory, libellous, offensive, threatening, harassing, or profane.

e) The Supplier must not use any contact details of the Customer (addresses, email addresses, phone numbers or other information capable of personally identifying the buyer) outside of this dispute process.

f) The responsibility for any refund rests solely with the Supplier.

If a Supplier does not meet the minimum performance standards, their mandatory placement for quotation requests will likely be lowered and there may be limits to quoting activity until the ratings improve.

A Supplier may also be restricted from quoting items on iSSD if your performance falls significantly below the minimum requirements.

If a Supplier’s account doesn’t meet the standards, you:

a) Need to resolve all issues on the account before quoting any additional requirements

b) Can’t register for a new account

c) Can’t use an existing iSSD account to avoid Supplier limits or other policy consequences

b) It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that any items purchased do not violate any law. Read Prohibited Items for further details.

c) Disputes can be resolved quickly and efficiently via open communication with the Supplier. Any question, complaints or issues regarding a sale and/or transaction must be directed to the relevant Supplier

j) If a dispute does arise between the Customer and the Supplier, the responsibility for resolution of the issue rests solely with the Customer and the Supplier

k) Any disputes that arise during the Job Quote, Request to delivery must be resolved quickly and efficiently via open communication between the Customer and the Supplier. If a Customer or Supplier has any questions, complaints, or issues regarding their requirement, they must direct their queries to the other party.

l) If a problem cannot be resolved following direct communication and negotiation between the Customer and the Supplier, a dispute may be raised by either party with iSSD.

a) Issuance of a warning

b) Cancellation of a Job Request, without warning

c) Restriction of account privileges

d) Removal of any existing Quotations

e) Suspension of an account

f) Termination of an account

If required, iSSD will comply with any investigations by law enforcement agencies.

7. Suspended users

iSSD prohibits users who are currently suspended for trading offences. As the Supplier registration process includes a rigorous selection process for accreditation, suspended Suppliers cannot participate on the iSSD site using associated registrations.

8. Previously suspended users

A person suspended from iSSD loses all user privileges. A suspended Supplier loses access to the iSSD site and the opportunity for placement on a quote request. A suspended Customer loses access to the iSSD site.

A suspension from iSSD may be for a specific, fixed length of time, indefinite or permanent, depending on the trading offence. Suspension will remain effective until removed by iSSD.

Suppliers are also required to resolve any performance issues on accounts that have outstanding disputes before being granted access.

Feedback and Ratings Policy

Feedback and Ratings is designed to encourage fair and honest trading within the iSSD site. It provides an indication of the performance and reputation of Suppliers which can also provide confidence for others to trade with you.

Registered Customers may leave comments relating to their experience of the transaction with a Supplier, as well as a 5 star rating. Failure to post a rating provides the Supplier with a 5 star default rating.

1. Feedback Policy

It is important to leave fair and honest comments and chose a rating from a 5 star rating system which reflects your experience of the transaction with the iSSD supplier.

a) Feedback should only be left once the transaction is complete and the feedback comments may only relate to the experience of that transaction. Feedback cannot be left which relates to any other transaction.
